Bellator FC 19 took place on Thursday, May 21, at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas, Texas.

Reigning Bellator featherweight champion Joe Soto faced off with Diego Saraiva in a 145-pound Super Fight. Soto’s strikes managed to cause a cut on Saraiva’s forehead, which led Soto to attain a TKO win after the first round as a result of a doctor’s stoppage.

Dan Hornbuckle and Ben Askren both advanced to the welterweight semi-finals, where they will next meet one another to determine the next challenger for Lyman Good’s welterweight belt. Hornbuckle earned a submission victory over Steve Carl in the first round. Askren used his wrestling to to control Ryan Thomas for three rounds en route to a unanimous decision win.
