The second episode of The Ultimate Fighter 11: Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz premiered on Wednesday, April 7, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV.

The show starts off and coaches Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz get ready to make their team picks. UFC President Dana White flips a coin to decide which coach gets to choose the first pick or the first fight. Ortiz wins the coin toss and chooses to pick the first fighter.

The following are the team picks that are made.

Team Punishment: Nick Ring, Kyacey Uscola, Kris McCray, Jamie Yager, James Hammortree, Clayton McKinney, and Chris Camozzi.

Team Liddell: Kyle Noke, Rich Attonito, Charles Blanchard, Josh Bryant, Brad Tavares, Court McGee, and Joe Henle.

After the team picks, White tells Ortiz he is impressed with the team he assembled. White then talks to Liddell and questions whether he made the right picks.

A segment is shown highlighting the training of each team. Ortiz confronts McKinney and tells him that he is training hard enough. McKinney then says he has a hurt shoulder.

Next up is the first fight announcement. Liddell chooses to have Noke go up against McKinney.

Ortiz and McKinney check with a doctor to see the results of McKinney’s MRI, which reveals no tear in his shoulder, but shows a bone bruise. The injury is a minor one and it doesn’t prevent McKinney from fighting. Ortiz then proceeds to tell him to suck it up.

Both Noke and McKinney make weight, with Noke coming in at 186, and McKinney at 185.5.

Next up is the first preliminary bout. The first round begins with the two fighters mixing it up on the feet. The fight then goes to the ground, with McKinney in top position. Noke manages to sink in a triangle choke and forces the tap.

With the submission win, Noke advances to the quarterfinals, and Team Liddell maintains control of the fight selections.
