Andre Arlovski Signs Multi-Fight Deal With Strikeforce
Former UFC heavyweight champ Andre Arlovski announced on Monday he has signed a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce.
He revealed the news on his official website.
“As promised I wanted to tell you all first hand, I have a multi-fight deal for the next 16 months with Strikeforce and I cannot wait to get into the ring and show the world what I have been working on the last few months,” he stated.
Arlvoski hasn’t fought since back-to-back knockout losses in the first-round to Fedor Emelianenko in January 2009, and Brett Rogers in June 2009. Prior to the two defeats, he had compiled a five-fight win streak, which included victories over Fabricio Werdum, Roy Nelson, and Ben Rothwell.
This won’t be the first time Arlovski competes in the organization, as his fight with Rogers was actually under the Strikeforce banner.
