WEC 48 To Air April 24 On Pay-Per-View

The WEC revealed on Wednesday that WEC 48 on April 24 will be the promotion’s first event to air live on pay-per-view.

The card features two title fights. In the headliner, featherweight champ Jose Aldo takes on Urijah Faber, and lightweight champ Ben Henderson faces off against Donald Cerrone in the co-main event.

“We wanted to wait until we had this type of card to go to pay-per-view,” WEC Manager Reed Harris told the AP. “We didn’t want to do a pay-per-view show until fans would say at the end of the night, ‘This was worth it.’ This will truly be the biggest event we’ve ever done.”

Also on the card is Mike Brown vs. Manny Gamburyan.

WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber is set for the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California.
