Sarah Kaufman Gives Thoughts On Upcoming Opponent Takayo Hashi
Sarah Kaufman will be facing off against Takayo Hashi for the first-ever Strikeforce women’s welterweight title at Strikeforce Challengers 6.
She recently gave Strikeforce.com her thoughts on her opponent.
“I don’t know a ton about her. I think primarily she is going to try and drag it out or try to take it the ground and finish it on the ground,” said Kaufman. “I am pretty comfortable with my game. I really have no idea what to expect from her. Her last fight was more than a year-and-a-half ago.
From what it looks like on paper, I know she is ranked No. 2 for a reason, so I am not taking her lightly. I think her primary focus will be to take it to the ground since eight of my wins have been by TKO or knockout.”
Strikeforce Challengers 6: Kaufman vs. Hashi is scheduled for February 26 at the San Jose Civic Auditorium in San Jose, California.
