A lightweight fight between Efrain Escudero and Dan Lauzon will take place at UFC 114.

The bout was first reported by Boston Herald’s Dan Duggan, who posted the following on his Twitter, “Just heard from a UFC source: Dan Lauzon’s next fight will come at UFC 114 on May 29 against Efrain Escudero.”

The last time Escudero (13-1) fought was in January at UFC Fight Night 20, where he lost by submission to Evan Dunham, and almost had his arm broken after refusing to tap while the armbar was locked in. He eventually tapped out and suffered damage to his tendons. It was the first loss of his career and ended a thirteen-fight winning streak.

Lauzon (12-3) is coming off a defeat to Cole Miller at UFC 108 in January. Prior to the loss, he had won eight consecutive bouts.

UFC 114 eminates on May 29 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is expected to be headlined by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Rashad Evans in a highly anticipated grudge match.
