Ben Rothwell Going To Be Himself At UFC 110
Former IFL heavyweight champ Ben Rothwell, coming off a loss to Cain Velasquez in his Octagon debut at UFC 104 in October, is looking to correct his past mistakes and get on the winning track.
“The day of the fight, I shaved my head and cut my facial hair weird. That’s not natural or normal for me. There was too much talking and not enough action on my part,” he tells the Las Vegas Sun. “The whole UFC thing – I just got carried away and came in not myself. I was doing things that weren’t myself. That’s behind me now and I’m ready to step forward and start anew.
For this fight, my hair’s going to be normal and I’m just going to be Ben. Hopefully, that will help me fight like Ben. I know that good things are going to happen.”
Rothwell will get another chance to showcase his skills when he faces off against Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic at UFC 110 on February 20 at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia.
