Andrei Arlovski To Participate In Exhibition Boxing Fight On February 27
Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski will be participating in a four-round exhibition boxing fight with boxer Fres Oquendo that will benefit The Consequences Charity, an organization aimed at preventing adolescent criminal behavior.
The bout was announced on Wednesday by Team Pit Bull, Team Oquendo, and The Consequences Charity. It is scheduled for February 27 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel and Resort in Miami, Florida.
“I am honored to step into the ring with a great fighter like Fres Oquendo,” said Arlovski. “This is going to be an exciting exhibition match but we already know the winner: the children we are helping.”
Arlovski has not fought in mixed martial arts competition since suffering a first-round knockout loss to Brett Rogers at Strikeforce: Lawler vs. Shields in June 2009.
