Kang vs. White, Newton vs. Clements Set For W-1: Bad Blood On March 20
Warrior-1 MMA announced on Tuesday the two headlining fights for its W-1: Bad Blood event on March 20 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
In the main event, Denis Kang takes on Vernon White at middleweight. Also, in the co-main event, welterweights Carlos Newton and Chris Clements will square off.
Kang (32-12-1, 2 NC) was recently released from the UFC following two losses out of his three fights with the company. He now has the opportunity to get back on the winning track in his native country of Canada.
White (26-33-2) only competed twice in the past two years, earning a win in April 2008, and then a loss in June 2009. Throughout his career, he has taken on some of the top fighters, including Lyoto Machida, Chuck Liddell, and Frank Shamrock.
Before Kang and Vernon go head-to-head, Newton (15-13) and Clements (6-3) will look to build on their most recent victories.
Additional bouts for the event will be revealed as the event nears.
W-1 MMA is a relatively new promotion based in Canada. The organization has held three events to date.
