James Toney, current NABO heavyweight champion, spoke with Fight Hype about the offer made to him by Dana White to fight in the UFC.

He said:

“Dana White’s first offer was a joke and that let’s me know he really don’t want to do this. That’s the reason I wanted the camera guy in the room with us when I sat down with Dana, so the fans would know that I was serious and if it didn’t hppen, it wasn’t because of me.”

It will be interesting to see whether or not the UFC will offer Toney a better deal, although it seems unlikely.
