Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields announced Thursday on his official website that he will be serving as an assistant coach for Chuck Liddell’s team on TUF 11.

Filming for the show is set to begin next week.

Shields is currently on an impressive thirteen-fight win streak, which includes victories over Robbie Lawler, Jason “Mayhem” Miller, and Paul Daley. He is expected to take on Dan Henderson next on the CBS-televised Strikeforce event in April.

The Ultimate Fighter 11 will feature middleweight fighters vying for a six-figure contract and an entry into the UFC. Longtime rivals Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz will be serving as the season’s coaches.

The show premieres on Wednesday, March 31, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV.
