Herschel Walker Looking To Help MMA Become More Mainstream

0

During the Strikeforce: Miami media day on Wednesday, NFL legend Herschel Walker spoke with MMA Fighting about his goal to help MMA become more mainstream.

“You see me on the poster, you see me out here doing TV, but those guys have been putting it on the line, and it’s very hard,” said Walker. “But one thing I want to tell those guys is I want to bring it out to where you guys aren’t going to be out there.

When people start knowing this is a great sport, maybe my face will help people understand that, and bring it to the forefront where it will become more of a mainstream thing. If I can do that, I want to do that, because I love the sport.”

Walker will make his mixed martial arts debut against Greg Nagy at Strikeforce: Miami on January 30.
