Former Power Ranger Jason David Frank Wins In MMA Debut

0

Former Power Ranger Jason David Frank made his mixed martial arts debut against Jonathan Mack at Lonestar Beatdown on January 30.

The two fighters began exchanging strikes and Mack landed a punch that staggered Frank. A few more strikes were thrown from both fighters, then Mack got a takedown. Frank quickly applied an Omoplata, forcing Mack to tap in the first round.

Although Frank looked a bit sloppy on his feet, he showed impressive submission skills.

It will be interesting to see whether competing in MMA was a one time thing or only the first fight of many to come.

Frank, now 36 year-old, has been practicing martial arts since the age of 4, and holds a sixth degree Black Belt in Karate. He currently trains at his own gym, Rising Sun MMA.
