Versus announced on Wednesday the signing of a multi-year extension with Zuffa, parent company of the UFC and WEC.

The deal extension will have the channel air two UFC and seven WEC events live in 2010.

“We have had great success with VERSUS and are excited about extending our deal for WEC and airing UFC events in 2010,” said UFC President Dana White.

This will be the first time that a UFC event airs on Versus, or a national sports cable network for that matter. With over 6 million people tuning in to watch WEC live in 2009, there’s no telling how many viewers the UFC can attract.
