Kimbo Slice vs. Houston Alexander Official for TUF 10 Finale

The UFC officially revealed Kimbo Slice’s opponent for the TUF 10 Finale during the last episode of the show, and as speculated throughout the MMA industry, it is none other than Houston Alexander.
The event takes place on December 5 at The Pearls at The Palms Casino & Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Spike TV will be televising main card live starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Kimbo, a heavy underdog heading into the show, was pitted against eventual TUF 10 finalist Roy Nelson in his first fight. As expected, Nelson took the fight to the mat and won via second-round TKO due to ground-and-pound. The episode featuring the fight set a new ratings record for Spike TV at 6.1 million viewers.
The huge popularity of Kimbo, coupled with his new-found respect from UFC President Dana White, has ultimately earned him another shot in the UFC.
His opponent Alexander, is a perfect match for him stylistically. Both fighters possess impressive stand-up skills, yet lack in the grappling and submission departments. Although it is safe to say that the fight will remain on its feet, history has shown that nothing can be certain in MMA, and it will be interesting to see if either fighter has evolved their skill set.
A win is crucial for each fighter and will more than likely determine their future in the UFC. Obviously for Kimbo, he needs to prove that he can win over elite competition, especially following his rapid elimination on the show.
As for Alexander, his last three fights in the UFC ended in defeat, so he cannot afford another loss in order to remain with the organization.
