Edmonton Rush Owner Bruce Urban announced on Tuesday the National Lacrosse League team has formed a partnership with UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture.

As part of the deal, several players on the Rush team will begin training at his Xtreme Couture gym in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also, Couture will be appearing at a future Rush game during the 2010 NLL season to offer two fans a three-day training camp at his gym.

“I am unbelievably thrilled to be joining forces with the greatest mixed martial arts fighter of all time,” said Urban. “I see a tremendous tie-in between the fans of the Rush and the fans of MMA and there is no better fighter in the world to be associated with than Randy Couture. His intensity, will to win, skill, and aggression are the qualities I want from our players, and it is also a great opportunity for the Rush to co-brand with such a world-renown name as Randy Couture and Extreme Couture.”

In his upcoming fights, Couture will be sporting a Rush team logo on his fight shorts, starting with UFC 109 on February 6 against Mark Coleman.
