EA Sports Announces Seven Additional Fighters For MMA Video Game

EA Sports officially announced on Tuesday seven additional fighters for its EA MMA video game.

The fighters are Cung Le, Gilbert Melendez, Robbie Lawler, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Matt Lindland, Scott Smith, and Josh Thompson.

The game’s roster now bolsters a total of 18 fighters, including Fedor Emelianenko, Randy Couture, Frank Shamrock, Gegard Mousasi, Brett Rogers, Jake Shields, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal, Jay Hieron, and Josh Thompson.

Also featured in the game are Strikeforce commentators Frank Shamrock and Mauro Ranallo, ring announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr., and referee “Big” John McCarthy.

EA Sports MMA is scheduled for release in 2010 on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
