Thiago Alves Pulls Out of UFC 107 Fight Against Jon Fitch

UFC welterweight Thiago Alves has pulled out his scheduled UFC 107 fight against Jon Fitch, due to a knee injury.
The news was first reported by MMA FanHouse.
During his training, Alves suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament. The injury is expected to sideline him for three to four weeks.
It is not yet known whether the UFC will offer Fitch another opponent for the event or reschedule the bout to a later date.
Fitch and Alves previously fought in June 2006 at UFC Fight Night 5, with Fitch earning a second-round TKO victory.
UFC 107 takes place on December 12 at the FedEX Forum Arena in Memphis, Tennessee. Headlining the event is lightweight champion BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez. The co-headlining fight is Frank Mir vs. Cheick Kongo.
