Roy Nelson Talks Win Over Kimbo Slice on TUF 10

Roy Nelson recently posted a new entry on SpikeTV.com, in which he talked about his win over Kimbo Slice in episode three of the The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights.
He said:
“Training for Kimbo was hard, because my coaches couldn’t find anyone on the team to mimic him and his beard, so I was back to square-one. That is why I came up with my simple plan for three fights in six weeks – win and take no damage. Dana White has been preaching this to the fighters for years. I just like to do what I am told. So I came up with my plan next to the pool the day before to win via crucifix. I was actually shocked that I pulled that out of my butt, since I am just a fat guy. Wait a minute, I Babe Ruth-ed this fight. I simply called my shot and made it happen. Sometimes I surprise myself.
After the fight was over I realized that Burger King was a sponsor and everyone in the house wanted me to see if I could get Burger King as a celebratory dinner after my win. That is why I said my Burger King comment, besides they have good food.
Kimbo and Rampage will strategize on how Kimbo can make his return to the Octagon. Does he have someone play sick, or do I have heart attack from climbing the stairs and Kimbo replaces me? Stay tuned to next week’s show and see how it all plays out.”

Dana white should give Roy Nelson more credit for his win over Kimbo. White said the punches Nelson was hitting kimbo with were like a little girl hitting someone and just down grading Nelsons performance. Truth is Roy Nelson controlled Kimbo like he was fighting a little girl and Nelson has all rights to feel pride in his win over Kimbo. White was acting like his new best friend who he wanted to win got cheated. Come on Dana it will be all right, you said it right the first time Kimbo is not a MMA fighter. Give props to Roy Nelson on his win.
Bottom line your in the cage to fight. Whether its a game show or not the best fighter should be in the finale, not the fighter who wants to just get by. Like Dana White said on the show “No damage was inflicted on Kimbo”. More of the fighters now just want to get by then put on a show which it is all about. I would rather watch a no-name fighter go out and beat up on eachother then watch some fat guy lay on someone and get by to the finale.
