A welterweight rematch between Jon Fitch and Thiago Alves has been set to take place at UFC 107 on December 7, according to MMA Weekly.

Fitch was scheduled to face Ricardo Almeida in November at UFC 106, but a knee injury forced Almeida to pull out of the fight.

Also, Alves was to take on Paulo Thiago in December at UFC 107, but the bout has been cancelled.

Fitch and Alves previously fought in June 2006 at UFC Fight Night 5, with Fitch earning a TKO victory in the second round.

UFC 107: Penn vs. Sanchez, which takes place at the FedEX Forum Arena in Memphis, Tennessee, is headlined by a lightweight title fight between champion BJ Penn and Diego Sanchez. Co-headlining the event is a heavyweight match-up between Frank Mir and Cheick Kongo.
