Dana White Says Lyoto Machida and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua Have Agreed to a Rematch
UFC President Dana White told the media at the UFC 104 post-fight press conference that light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua have both agreed to a rematch.
He said:
“I think there will be a rematch in that fight. I talked to both of them and they’ve both agreed to a rematch.
I had Shogun winning the fight, but one of the things I always tell these guys is you can’t leave it in the hands of the judges. At the end of every round, neither one of the guys went after it, neither guy tried to steal the round. Machida is the champion and the judges gave it Machida tonight.”
