Minnesota Vikings - Brock Lesnar

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar blew the ceremonial horn prior to the start of the Minnesota Vikings vs. Baltimore Ravens NFL game on Sunday.

In 2004, Lesnar played in the pre-season as a defensive line for the Vikings, but was cut right before the start of the season.

He was then offered to play in the now-defunct NFL Europe, but declined.

Lesnar is scheduled to defend his belt against Shane Carwin at UFC 106, which takes place on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fighting out of Minnesota Martial Arts Academy, Lesnar is 4-1 in his mixed martial arts career. He is coming off a second round TKO victory over Frank Mir at UFC 100 in July.

His opponent Carwin, who fights out of Jackson’s Submission Fighting, holds an undefeated 11-0 record. He last fought at UFC 96 in March, defeating Gabriel Gonzaga by knockout. None of Carwin’s fights have made it past the first round to date.
