The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights Premiere Gets 4.1 Million Viewers on Spike TV

Spike TV announced on Thursday that the first episode of The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights on Spike TV garnered 4.1 million viewers during the premiere on Wednesday September 16, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
The broadcast broke the previous record of 2.7 million viewers set by The Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale in 2006.
The tenth season of the show features YouTube sensation Kimbo Slice, along with four former NFL players and several mixed martial arts veterans.
UFC light heavyweight fighters Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans serve as the coaches.
“The intriguing cast of ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights’ has true mass appeal, and the numbers show that this sport is not just for a niche audience anymore,” said Spike TV President Kevin Kay.
