Nick Diaz vs. Jay Hieron Welterweight Title Fight at Strikeforce August 15 Event May Be Off

The scheduled fight between Nick Diaz and Jay Hieron for the first-ever Strikeforce welterweight title at the Strikeforce August 15 event may be off, due to Diaz failing to appear at a pre-fight drug test, according to the Wrestling Observer.

Diaz was scheduled to take the drug test Friday night, but failed to show up due to his training schedule.

Strikeforce told the CSAC that Diaz would appear for the drug test on Monday. The CSAC agreed to the rescheduling, but said there is a possibilty that the test results may not be back in time to grant Diaz a license to compete at the event.
