Jesse Taylor Replaces Nick Diaz in Fight Against Jay Hieron at Strikeforce August 15 Event

Nick Diaz, who failed to appear for a pre-fight drug test on Friday and again today, has been denied a license to compete by the California State Athletic Commission, according to MMA Weekly.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 7 cast member Jesse Taylor will replace Diaz in his fight against Jay Hieron at the Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg event, which takes place on August 15 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.

Taylor holds a mixed martial arts record of 13-3 and is currently riding a seven-fight win streak, including a recent TKO victory over Dong Sik Yoon at DREAM.10.
