Strikeforce - Fedor Emelianenko

Strikeforce Founder and CEO Scott Coker announced during Fedor Emelianenko’s public workout on Wednesday that Emelianenko will be making his Strikeforce debut against Brett Rogers this fall.

An exact date or venue for the event has yet to be announced.

Emelianenko, the current WAMMA heavyweight champion, last fought at Affliction: Day of Reckoning this past January, where he defeated Andrei Arlovski by first-round knockout.

He is scheduled for a special sparring exhibition against Gegard Mousasi at the M-1 Breakthrough event, which takes place on Friday, August 28.

Rogers, holding an undefeated record of 10-0, is coming off a first-round knockout victory over Andrei Arlovski at the Strikeforce event in June.
