Josh Barnett Removed From Fight With Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction: Trilogy

Josh Barnett has been removed from his upcoming fight with Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction: Trilogy. Barnett tested positive for a banned substance and will not be granted a license from the California State Athletic Commission to compete at the event.
Affliction Vice President Tom Atencio held a conference call today to confirm the positive test results, although he did not know which banned substance Barnett tested positive for. He stated that the CSAC was currently testing Barnett’s second sample.
Atencio declined to reveal any details on possible replacement opponents for Emelianenko until contracts are officially signed. However, he stated that he was in negotiations with three fighters.
Stay tuned as a replacement opponent should be announced very soon.
