Dan Henderson vs. Rich Franklin

The UFC has officially announced a main event rematch between Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin at UFC 103, which takes place on September 19 at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.

Henderson and Franklin previously met in a light heavyweight match at UFC 93, with Henderson earning a controversial split-decision victory.

The UFC did not reveal which weight class the rematch will be contested at, although it more than likely will not be at middleweight. Franklin made it clear following his recent 195-pound catch-weight victory over Wanderlei Silva that he wanted to permanently move up to the light heavyweight division. Henderson stated after his recent KO victory over Michael Bisping that if he wasn’t given a middleweight title rematch against Anderson Silva, he would also want to move up to light heavyweight.

In addition to the main event, the UFC has also officially announced a match-up between Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic and Junior Dos Santos.
