Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum Made Official for Strikeforce August 15 Event

Strikeforce has officially announced a Strikeforce heavyweight title bout between current champion Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg. Also on the card is a main event match-up for the first-ever Strikeforce women’s 145-pound title between Gina Carano and Cyborg Santos, and a Strikeforce lightweight title bout between current champion Josh Thompson and Gilbert Melendez.

The event will take place on August 15 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
